Let Me Introduce Myself

Hi, I’m Aleesa — the founder of Saddle Up Swim.

I thought it was time to properly introduce myself and share the heart behind the brand.

I’m a wife, a proud mum to three beautiful children, an artist, and someone who has always found peace in the ocean.

I was born in Rockhampton and grew up moving around Australia, living in places including the Gold Coast, Townsville, Perth, and Brisbane. Growing up in so many different places gave me a love for exploring and a deep appreciation for Australia’s incredible landscapes. No matter where I lived, I always found myself drawn to two worlds — the ocean and the country.

While I didn’t grow up riding horses every weekend, I’ve always admired the slower pace and freedom of country life. Pair that with my love for the sea, and that’s where the idea of Saddle Up Swim was born.

Before starting this journey, I worked as a nail technician, where I was able to express my creativity and connect with so many wonderful people. But deep down, I dreamed of creating something that truly reflected who I was and what I loved.

Saddle Up Swim was born from a blend of love, loss, and the longing for something more. It wasn’t just about creating swimwear — it was about creating hope, identity, and a brand with meaning.

As a mum, my greatest joy has always been my children. My two daughters fill my days with laughter and adventure, while my beautiful son now watches over us as our little angel.

Losing a child is a pain that changes you forever. There were days when simply getting through felt impossible. In the middle of that grief, Saddle Up Swim became my light. It gave me something to pour my heart into, something to dream about again, and a purpose when I needed one most.

Every collection is inspired by the life I love — salty hair after long beach days, the beauty of the Australian coastline, warm country sunsets, and the memories made with family. Saddle Up Swim is about more than swimwear. It’s about slowing down, making memories, and embracing a lifestyle that blends coastal living with country soul.

Looking ahead, I hope this brand becomes something even bigger than I ever imagined. One of my biggest dreams is to give back by supporting the Red Nose Foundation so I can contribute to SIDS research and help support families walking through unimaginable loss. That purpose will always be at the heart of Saddle Up Swim.
