The Heart Behind Saddle Up Swim

 

Saddle Up Swim was born from a blend of love, loss, and the longing for something more. It wasn’t just about creating swimwear — it was about creating hope, identity, and a brand that reflects who I truly am.

I’ve always had a deep connection to both the ocean and the countryside. I didn’t grow up riding horses every weekend, but I’ve always admired the peaceful rhythm of country life and the freedom of the sea. There’s something grounding in the dirt roads and something healing in the crashing waves — and it’s that balance that inspired Saddle Up Swim.

Before this brand came to life, I worked as a nail technician — a career that allowed me to express my creativity and connect with so many beautiful people. At the same time, I was (and still am) a proud mum to three incredible children: two daughters who bring me endless joy, and a son who is now our little angel in heaven.

Losing a child is a pain that leaves no part of your heart untouched. There have been days filled with grief, moments I didn’t think I’d get through. But Saddle Up Swim became my outlet — something to look forward to, something to believe in again. It gave me purpose when I needed it most.

This brand isn’t just about swimwear. It’s about celebrating life’s small joys — the giggles in the sand, the matching moments with our babies, and the beauty of blending coastal vibes with country charm. Each design is made with love, and with families like mine — and maybe like yours — in mind.

One day, I hope Saddle Up Swim grows enough to give back in a real way. My dream is to support the Red Nose Foundation and eventually pursue study so I can contribute to SIDS research and support for grieving families. That mission is at the core of why this brand exists.
